NORTHERN SYDNEY – Help a Family at Home

We are seeking motivated, positive individuals to join our Help at Home program to relieve parents of the extra pressures of raising a child with special needs.

We have families living in on Sydney's Northern Beaches, North Shore and Ryde regions who would love some help at home – just a few hours a week.

This could include:

  • assisting with art and craft activities
  • reading stories
  • helping the child with their therapy exercises
  • accompany the family on outings or to medical appointments

A parent or guardian would be present at all times. Experience with children, patience and a sense of humour would be an advantage.

If you enjoy spending time with children and knowing you’ve helped make someone’s day a little easier, we'd love to hear from you.

My son now thinks of her as his special friend. But she also shares her time with his big brother or helps me with chores I haven't been able to do," mum Kyrsten.
