Health and wellbeing group programs

Providing children, teens and adults with all the services and supports to lead a healthy, active life.

At Cerebral Palsy Alliance we believe everyone should have access to the resources that will assist them in leading a healthy and active lifestyle. Our inclusive exercise programs are unique, fun and carefully designed to support you in achieving your goals. We offer a variety of gym and pool based exercise groups, so regardless of your age, or ability level, you are sure to find an exercise group to suit your needs.

Each of our gym and pool sessions are run by experienced exercise physiologists, who adapt every exercise program to suit the abilities of the group members. To ensure the groups continue at a pace appropriate for everyone, each participant receives regular assessments. These one on one assessments provide the opportunity discuss achievements, progress and future exercise plans.
With Cerebral Palsy Alliance health and wellbeing exercise groups, not only will you meet new people, you can rest assured you will receive the best support in a purpose built environment.

How many people participate in each gym group?

The groups are purposely kept small to ensure the individual needs of each participant are met in a fun and encouraging environment. If the group size increases additional exercise physiologists are available to provide support.

Fit and fun is a gym group for children and young teens with an intellectual or developmental delay. Each session focuses on developing strength, cardiovascular fitness, gross motor skills, co-ordination, sequencing and planning.

Sportsfitz is a five day Boot Camp just for teens. This fun and motivating group program focuses on strength and conditioning, nutrition and health and a range of game based activities to practice sporting skills.

Designed for teens with CP GMFCS I-II and other disabilities who ambulate without an aid.
