If you have received your NDIS plan it’s important that you start using it straight away to ensure you continue to access the supports and services you need. We’ve created a short list of steps to get you started:

1. Register for myGov

To put your plan into action you need a myGov account.

Visit myGov

to create your account. Once you have a myGov account you can then access the NDIS Participant Portal now called myplace.

2. Register for myplace

myplace is the new name of the NDIS Participant Portal. It’s where you can view your plan, approve payments and manage your services online. To find out more and create your myplace account go to

3. Talk to your service provider

Now that you can access your plan online you will need to meet with your provider who will help you connect to the relevant supports approved in your plan.

Your provider will then:

– Provide you with a quote for the services you require

– Ask you to sign an agreement of services

– Input this information into your plan via the NDIS Provider Portal

For assistance from Cerebral Palsy Alliance please contact your local team, or call 1300 888 378 to arrange time to discuss your plan.

4. Use your plan

It is important to start using your plan straight away, even if it’s not quite right. This will ensure that your services continue even though the funding for these services will change to the NDIS. This includes your Mobility Allowance which will be funded in your NDIS plan.

5. What can you do if your NDIS plan is incorrect?

If your plan is incorrect or is not what you expected you can ask the National Insurance Disability Agency (NDIA) for a review. If you notice differences between the written plan you’ve received and the plan shown on myplace you will need to notify the NDIA on 1800 800 110.
