About LifePoints
LifePoints provides services to children, teenagers and adults with cerebral palsy or a similar disability, their families and carers.
The LifePoints team works with individuals and their support network to identify their goals and aspirations and to plan for their life needs.
Services are provided according to individual and changing needs and may include:
- developing and maintaining skills in mobility and physical activity, communication and self care to maximise function and participation in life activities
- building resilience and independence
- supporting inclusion and participation in education, leisure and other activities within the community
- provision of information, education and resources
- assisting parents and carers to develop skills and confidence to support their family member living with a disability.
Other programs to support the emotional and social wellbeing of individuals and families are offered in the Sydney metropolitan area and in the Hunter and Central Coast.
Who is Eligible?
Children, teenagers and adults with cerebral palsy living in NSW and the ACT - eligibility criteria and/or services may differ, depending on where you live.
School aged children with other disabilities who have significant and complex needs may be eligible for some services.
When is it Available?
The service is generally available Monday – Friday, 9.00 am – 5.00 pm, and at other times by arrangement.
Cost
The service is generally free, with the exception of some equipment costs.
