About GOmobility
GOmobility is a specialist service that helps children, teenagers and young adults with cerebral palsy access mobility aids, such as the Hart Walker. The services of GOmobility are available to people living in NSW and the ACT.
Hart Walker
The Hart Walker is a customised orthotic walking device which allows children with a moderate to severe physical disability, especially those with cerebral palsy, to stand and experience hands-free mobility.
GOmobility can assist with:
- assessment for suitability for Hart Walker.
- funding applications to the Australian Lions Mobility Foundation
- fitting of Hart Walkers
- adjustment and monitoring at Hart Walker clinics.
Other GOmobility Services
GOmobility
- Is the NSW agent for paediatric products supplied by Doability. These products can be trialed for a period of two weeks and/or ordered through GOmobility.
- Supplies special socks to wear with ankle foot Orthoses (AFOs)
- Can assist with funding applications for any style of walking frame through the Australian Lions Children’s Mobility Foundation. Funding application forms are available on request and a relevant quote is also required.
Who is Eligible?
The Hart Walker is suitable for children who are:
- able to take weight in supported standing
- able to take steps regardless of the pattern used
- are motivated to move
- have a leg length measurement between 43cms – 72cms.
The Hart Walker can be fitted:
- once a child has been assessed for suitability
- a referral form and funding application form has been received
- funding has been approved
Other GOmobility services are open to children, teenagers and young adults with cerebral palsy. Referrals may be made by individuals, and from private and community-based therapists.

By appointment.
Cost
Hart Walkers cost $6,980 which includes adjustments for the first 12 months.
